Project Summary

Child Care Around Me is a specifically designed application dedicated for the purpose of locating and evaluating day care centres and help young parents decide the best for their child. The app works in a two way manner where both the seekers and the providers are available at the same place. The marketplace will be used as a medium for posting requirements by the clients and the providers shall respond to the same if they have the vacancy. The app will be a one-stop solution with superb facilities of day centre location and driving directions through GPS review analysis, communication through phone or email, fee structure viewing and to top it all parents can even communicate with other parents who already hire the services of a particular care centre. The administrator of the app manages the app for its features. Admin can update any page of the app and also add info of newer service providers and also update any new services that the providers would like to extend to the customers. The admin cannot modify any contracts and can neither alter nor change any part of the information of both parties. Admin can manage app ´s global type information like contact us sections, email id, etc. Global settings are pre-defined so they can be modified only.

The user has the following workflow to use the website:

  • Download App
  • Login and register on the app
  • Follow the instruction to manage their profile
  • Follow instruction to open a business account
  • Upload their vacancy requirement and care centre would mention their vacancy numbers
  • Manage communication with provider and seeker through email or telephone that shall be on display
  • Mange communication with other parents if desired
  • Confirm time and date to seeker

Industry Specifics

Children are the most precious gift of God and they need special care. However young couples are gradually declining from having children due to the stress of hectic job profiles and along with that the time consuming busy urban life which leaves them with little time to spend. This instills a fear of child care which gradually becomes another reason for the stress. The good news is that now professional child care and day centres are opening up where couples can easily leave children while they are at work without worrying about the child safety or its happiness. However the larger challenge is to select the right centre. Here the app comes into play as it is designed specifically for the purpose of helping parents track, search and evaluate the nearby day care centres anywhere around the world and at the same time compare and choose the best which suits their child. This industry is in its maturing stage and soon will become a highly promising one in the near future.

Implementation Strategy

The purpose for making this website was to design a platform to provide a common space for both customers and service providers of the cleaning industry. The aim is to allow both parties to function under one roof. While creating the website, we provided options for both the service seeker and the provider to individually monitor the service requirement and the status of the contract and the course of payment which would be managed by Braintree. The most challenging part of the project was to bring to functionality the transparent payment system and the individual monitoring handles that would be provided to both sides including individual employees who could easily track their duties. The profile management of the users who could have multiple requirements and mingling it with the correct provider was also a challenge. Whenever, the user has a requirement they have to login as per the need & post their respective needs while on the other the provider would have to do the same in order to confirm the contract and fix the date and time of the job in accordance to customer suitability. The website was designed with responsive user interface as many users today prefer to view the website on their smart-phones.


The development of this website was a challenging yet a very pleasure filled and enlightening experience altogether. By working on this website, we gained the valuable experience of working with Braintree functionality, which polished our skills in development of marketplace web-portal, customer solutions, provider management and payment management, etc. We also gained experience with two way need management and customer satisfaction at both ends.
